Ken C asked: Kyle Maynard is an incredible GA wrestler who was born without arms below the elbows or legs below the knees, a condition knows as “Congenital Amputation.” Despite a condition that may have limited many of us, Kyle has not let it stop him in the least.
After earning a formidable reputation as a high school wrestler – winning 35 matches at varsity level and placing in the top 10 in his state tournament. He is now studying Jiu-Jitsu and wants to compete in MAA. He indicated that he knows and understands the sport and believes he can compete on a part with other MMA practitioners, but the GA State Commission refused to issue him a license.
What do you think of that decision?
Do you think there should be limitations placed on adult individuals of sound mind who want to try out MMA events?

An amazing man who has overcome insurmountable obstacles especially in athletics however most martial artists would feel very uncomfortable taking that fight also think its for.
The whole scope of things.
For him one just agree with the whole scope of things.
Sure, give him one match to get this idea beat out of his head.

“The word ‘duh’ comes to mind…”
Seriously you can’t let this guy fight. He would get killed. Sure he’s of sound mind, but there’s no way he can defend himself. If he thinks he can… maybe he’s not of sound mind. I understand that he wants to prove that he’s just like everyone else, but let’s face it, he’s not. I can’t set the record for the 100 meter dash so I’m not even gonna try. Know your limitations.
His opponent would just have to “sprawl” and roll him on his back. How’s he gonna block elbows from his back? There was no decision to make if you ask me. The commission couldn’t possibly let him fight.
An amaxing wrestling no question about it would not want to have to have to have to.
