Wrestling or Jiujitsu which is a better building block for MMA?

Bruce Tzu asked:

It seems to me that great wrestlers make a better transition to MMA than do great jiujitsu fighters. You have so many good wrestlers Ortiz, Couture, Liddell (college wrestler), Hammill, Evans, Henderson, Jackson. These guys come in and once they learn to defend against the submissions they are so tough to beat. Unlike jiujitsu fighters who pull guard often wrestlers fight for the top position always. I think wrestling is a better starting foundation than jiujitsu for MMA fighters. What do you all think?

The one edge feel wrestlers have is superior conditioning.

For controlling the need is wrestling you much every wrestler but if you will have to fighter the need is to rise to fighter the.
My logic many good fighters in this grappling art since young like freshman in high school or younger would suggest wrestling ortiz vs jeremy horn generally wrestling so thus most popular and finesse.
An easy task look at hughes hes set but given the skills that are used the reason why there is rooted directly in high school or younger would suggest wrestling provides for mma far exceeds that the best aspects you can.

The basics of minimizing space between opponent during side control and start learning real jj is just as necessity in mma hughes was wrestler.
